Chinese proverb

旧(的)不去,新(的)不来
jiu (de) bu qu, xin (de) bu lai

In English, it could be translated approximately by "You can’t build new things without destroying old ones"…
In only 6 words (8 if you insert the literary ‘de’), it sums up what Chinese people think they have to deal with… Let’s hope they don’t delete 5,000 years of history! But we have to reckon that their main force (especially if you oppose this to European way of thinking) remains in the fact they also accept old things should disappear…

Thanks Karen for your comment. As you know, it always take me a long time to postprod my photos. But 1) people are so intersted in it and 2) I’m planning to do an exhibition (together with Gaëlle!), then I’m going to do my best.
BTW, have you been travelling to Tokyo yet?
